ne of the most important medicinal herbs in the third world, which has been used ethnbotanically around the world to treat a wide variety of ailments is neem (Azadirachta indica).
In the early 2000's, Alpha Omega Labs was the first internet company to popularize neem on the web, and although we have not carried it since 2003, neem has always been close to our heart. In this spirit, we are introducing I.D.R.® to our customers -- a product that passed clincal examination by the Ecuadorian government and is now widely sold here for its antiviral and immunological supportive properties.
What is I.D.R.®?
It is an Immunomodulator that is composed of specific polysaccharides and amino acids, extracted from neem. These active ingredients create a remarkable tool to balance the Immune System. I.D.R.® works to resist external threats that challenges the immunology. The product is manufactured by Gyanalab S.A. (Cuenca, Ecuador).
Domestic Applications
Here in Ecuador, I.D.R.® is registered and used clinically in Ecuador as an adjunct -- (not formally as a treatment or cure, but as an adjunct) -- for cancer, HIV, immunodeficiency, autoimmunity, allergies, as an antihepatotoxic, and for multiple sclerosis. Types of Treatment
I.D.R.® was created and subsequently tested to treat the following indications: Autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, Immunospecific allergies, etc.; diseases related to liver conditions, in general, such as: cirrhosis, jaundice, steatosis and decontamination due to chemical contamination or invasive treatments such as chemotherapy.

Clinical Studies
There are three clinical studies that were presented to "Sanitario"/ ARSA (the Ecuadorian agency responsible for drug approval and permitted medical claims). I.D.R. is made of extracts of Azadirachta indica. This product has been has attracted considerable attention in recent years as a result of its medicinal properties. The use of plants in modern medicine as a source of antiviral agents is of utmost importance for the treatment of viral diseases, there are natural products such as propolis, which has been attributed antiviral properties (1,2).
Taking these aspects into account and knowing the importance of the treatment of pathologies of viral origin, it is necessary to demonstrate that the I.D.R. "IMUNIM" has an antiviral effect.
